2021

On my bucket list is attending a fancy New Year’s Eve party. Since it’s been on said list I’ve had zero desire to actually get fancy and attend anything, struggling to stay awake until midnight. And I’m completely okay with that. This year was no different.

The past few months have been full of changes. Our girl and I went to PA for a funeral of a friend I grew up with who passed way from cancer. I always love visiting home but this was a more difficult time. I got to see some of my favorite people so there were positives. I got a new job working for a child welfare center, helping moms and families navigate pregnancy and newborn life. Ironic since I’ve never been pregnant or had a newborn but..I love it. After working in foster care, seeing another side and potentially being able to help before any intervention may be needed feels good for my soul.

Jason also got a new job , after staying and working with kids in care after I left. It was difficult to be without him for a week at a time and he was wanting to be home with his girls. He started training to be a behavioral tech with children with autism and has really enjoyed it. Similar in some ways to what we used to do but different enough to be a good change.

We went to Panama City to spend Christmas with extended family via adoption and it was so nice to get to know everyone better.

We are excited to see what God has for us in 2021! 💛
