Baby Life, Crazy Life

Have you ever been so sleep deprived you hallucinate? If that sounds like fun, get yourself a newborn! But really, I used to sleep through anything. You want to demo a wall while I’m sleeping in the next room? Have at it. But now, I’ll wake up when he breathes, to make sure he’s breathing, snores, startles, or just stare at the baby monitor with tears in my eyes. Life has been full of formula, naps, diaper changes and hoping I’m doing all the right new parent things. I adore seeing OG holding BB and how sweet their bond is already, despite the age difference.

OG is currently in plans to move in with her boyfriend, back to Panama City where she grew up. We may be sad and not love it but she needs to stretch her wings. There isn’t a day we haven’t prayed for her and will continue to. She’s smart and mature so we are hoping for the best for her. It’s been an adjustment for everyone having a baby in the house and I know she is probably looking forward to some quiet time!

BB has been steadily growing and even our caseworker is in love with him. We got news a few weeks ago that we needed to take him for a DNA test, a potential bio father was named and this is the next step. We are unsure what happen but I’m trying to balance my anxiety with my trust in the Lord and that all things will work, no matter what, for the best interest of BB. He’s what matters and even if it means our heartbreak, that’s all we want 💛
